The Gibbs Klimair swiveling ascender is primarily used for 2-in-1 work positioning lanyards. It may also be useful in specific ascending and rigging applications. A simple but secure pin assembly system means you can quickly attach the system to a 1/2″ rope. The bi-directional mechanical prusik has a swiveling stainless steel eye and an aluminum shell, and turns your double-snap flipline into a two-in-one. The Gibbs ascenders are known for being able to grip on any rope whether its muddy, wet, or frozen, while not destroying your expensive ropes.
The KLIMAIR (Climb-Air) is for use in 2-in-1 lanyards. It can also be used for ascending and rigging applications. Not for self belay by solo climbers.
Pin Assembly: Remove split ring and pull out clevis pin. Remove cam. Place shell on rope and align holes in cam and shell. Replace clevis pin and split ring.
Bolt and Nut Assembly: Remove Nyloc nut with " Allen Wrench and "" Wrench. Remove cam. Place shell on rope and align holes in cam and shell. Replace bolt and Nyloc nut
